Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau Targets MeeSeva Centers in Statewide Crackdown
1 min read

In a sweeping crackdown, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana conducted raids across multiple MeeSeva centers in the state on Wednesday. The raids, which began at 4 p.m. and continued into the early hours of the morning, were part of an investigation into allegations of overcharging, agent nexus, and suspected malpractices at these government-run service delivery centers.
MeeSeva, a flagship e-governance initiative of the Telangana government, provides a range of citizen services, from issuing certificates to facilitating government scheme applications. However, the ACB's actions suggest that some of these centers may have been exploiting their position to engage in unethical practices, depriving citizens of fair and transparent access to public services.
The raids, carried out simultaneously at numerous MeeSeva locations, involved teams of ACB officials meticulously examining financial records, seizing documents, and interviewing staff and customers. The comprehensive investigation aims to uncover the extent of the alleged wrongdoings and hold those responsible accountable for any violations of public trust.
