1 min read

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have filed a chargesheet against 10 individuals accused of being part of a 'doctors' terror module' in the region. According to the authorities, the accused formed a highly clandestine module that was actively engaged in radicalization, recruitment, and operational preparations for carrying out terrorist attacks across the country.
The module, which included medical professionals, allegedly worked to indoctrinate vulnerable individuals and facilitate their travel to conflict zones for terrorist training. The police investigation revealed that the group had established communication channels with Pakistan-based terrorist organizations and were receiving instructions and funding from them.
The chargesheet details the group's efforts to create a network of sleeper cells, acquire weapons and explosives, and plan attacks on vital installations and public gatherings. The accused face charges under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Indian Penal Code.
The case highlights the growing concern over the involvement of educated and professional individuals in terrorist activities, and the need for robust counter-radicalization efforts to address this threat. The Jammu and Kashmir Police have vowed to continue their crackdown on such terror modules to ensure the safety and security of the region.
