Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, met with survivors of the Bondi beach terror attack as they wrapped up their tour of Australia on Friday. The royal couple also met with emergency workers and representatives from the Sydney Jewish Museum during their final day in the country.
The Bondi beach attack occurred in August 2018, when a man drove a car into pedestrians, injuring 14 people. The attack was later deemed an act of terrorism. During their visit, Harry and Meghan spoke with those affected by the incident and expressed their condolences.
Before concluding their Australian tour, the duke and duchess enjoyed a boat ride on Sydney Harbour alongside representatives from Invictus Australia, the Paralympic-style sporting event founded by Prince Harry. They also attended a Super Rugby Pacific match, taking in the autumn sun and local sporting culture one last time before departing.
