Russia Unleashes Massive Air Assault on Ukraine
1 min read

Russia launched its largest air attack on Ukraine this year, striking cities across the country with a barrage of missiles and drones. The assault killed and injured residents in the capital Kyiv, as well as the cities of Odesa, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia.
The attack involved over 80 missiles and around 20 drones, according to Ukraine's air force. It was the latest in a series of Russian strikes targeting Ukraine's critical infrastructure, including power plants and other civilian facilities. The strikes caused power outages and disruptions to water supplies in several regions.
Ukrainian officials said the air defenses shot down many of the incoming projectiles, but a number still reached their targets. The strikes damaged residential buildings and other civilian structures, with at least one person killed and dozens injured. The attacks came as Ukraine continues its counteroffensive against Russian forces in the east and south of the country.
