Ukraine Defends Against Relentless Russian Missile and Drone Attacks
1 min read
Ukraine's air force reported that the country successfully defended against two waves of combined missile and drone attacks from Russia over the past 24 hours. According to the air force, Ukraine downed a total of 31 missiles and 636 drones during the Russian assaults on Ukrainian territory.
The air force stated that the enemy launched the attacks using a combination of ground-based and air-launched missiles, as well as attack drones. This latest barrage is part of Russia's ongoing campaign to cripple Ukraine's infrastructure and demoralize the civilian population through relentless bombardment.
While Ukraine's air defenses have proven effective in intercepting many of the incoming projectiles, the sheer volume of the attacks continues to take a toll. The sustained Russian offensive has left much of Ukraine's power grid damaged or destroyed, leading to widespread blackouts and disruptions to critical services. Despite the hardships, Ukraine's forces remain resolute in their defense of the country.
