Kia and Genesis Recall Over 235K Cars for Fuel Leak Risk
1 min read

Kia and Genesis are recalling over 235,000 vehicles due to a potential fuel leak issue. The recall affects cars equipped with the 3.5-liter V-6 engine, where loose connectors on a connecting pipe for the fuel rails could lead to a fuel leak.
The recall includes certain 2022-2023 Kia Carnival, 2022-2023 Kia Sorento, 2022-2023 Kia Telluride, 2022-2023 Genesis GV80, and 2022-2023 Genesis G80 models. Owners will be notified by mail, and dealers will inspect the fuel rail connecting pipe and tighten the connections if necessary, free of charge.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a fuel leak increases the risk of a fire. Kia and Genesis have not reported any fires or injuries related to this issue. Owners can contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542 or Genesis customer service at 1-844-340-9741 for more information.
